Hillsboro - Mrs. Rena McClure Allen, 97, of Hillsboro died Thursday Sept 4, 1975 at Covington Manor Health Care Center. Born Dec 15, 1877 in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Wallace and Angelin Steele McClure. She was married on Dec 24, 1899 at Waynetown to Harry Allen who died Jan 2, 1967. She attended Alamo and Yountsville schools. A resident of Hillsboro 55 years, she was employed in the Hillsboro PO for 17 years and was a member of Cain Twp Home Ec Club for 49 years. She was also a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and its Christian Women's Fellowship. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Helen Allen of Hillsboro and Mrs. Lloyd (Eulalia) Holmes of Colorado Springs, Colo; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Services were Saturday with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
